JENNIFER YU
Founder & Advisor
Jennifer Yu is a student at Northeastern University studying Political Science and Economics.
Her work in eating disorder awareness began in 2021 when the earliest form of the All Bodies Coalition was founded to support networks of young eating disorder patients in diverse communities. Today, Jennifer's work has been honored by the Princeton Prize in Race Relations, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and has been featured in Nickelodeon Series Nick! News. She has been named Massachusetts Student of the Year by the Massachusetts School Administrators’ Association (MSAA) and has presented her community approach to healthcare accessibility with the MSAA Annual Fall Conference.

DIYA MANKOTIA
Executive Director
Diya Mankotia (she/her) is a 17-year-old high school senior from Texas and a passionate youth mental health advocate.
After a life-threatening anorexia nervosa diagnosis in eighth grade, she committed herself to creating spaces where students feel seen and supported to lead change in their communities. As the Program Coordinator for the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD), Diya co-developed their School Ambassador Program (ASAP) — a nationwide initiative in which she onboarded 25+ eating disorder support clubs in high schools and colleges across 16 states in the U.S. Diya is also the founder of Project EDSA, a youth-led movement expanding accessibility for mental health education. Under her leadership, Project EDSA has reached 12,000+ students on their platforms, distributed 150+ mental health resource kits, and built a volunteer network spanning 3 countries and 10+ states.
Throughout her work, Diya is guided by the principle of community, leading by creating spaces for every story, every voice, and every individual to be heard.

Samhitha Pai is a current high school junior in the Boston area. In her free time, Samhitha enjoys crocheting, baking, and listening to music. She hopes to spread more awareness about eating disorders with the ABC!

ANIKA VARMA

Hey! My name is Anika Varma and I am the editor-in-chief of the All Bodies Journal! I am currently a senior in high school in Massachusetts. I love to read and nap in my free time as well as crochet and spend time with friends!

ANIKA GURIJALA
Podcast Director, All Bodies Talk
Anika Gurijala is a high school junior from the Boston area. She has spent her time volunteering in hospitals and observed the effects of ED in her community. She also created the nonprofit Garden of Hope, which gives out bouquets of donated flowers to patients and raises awareness about mental health. In school, she is the president of Health Occupations Students of America which encourages students to pursue careers in medicine. She is also extremely passionate about biology, portrayed through her leadership in her schools Science Team. Her hobbies include tennis—showcased by her commitment to her schools Varsity Girls Tennis Team. Outside of school, she has participated in international conferences regarding biotechnology and gave a presentation on her ideas regarding the ongoing projects of the biotechnology world. She wishes to make a great impact with the knowledge she shares about eating disorders in her writings

NAOMI D'SOUZA
Marketing Director
Naomi D’Souza is a freshman and D1 track & field athlete at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Naomi uses her first-hand experience to perform grassroots advocacy to improve and raise access to quality mentoring relationships for youth across the state of Mass. To achieve this, she led an engaging virtual presentation to youth all over the state in the format of peer to peer youth advocacy training called “Break the Silence.” Naomi is also a panelist and panel motorator at Youth Mentoring Day (YMD) to increase Mass Mentoring Partnership’s (MMP) Mentoring Grant line item in the fiscal budget for the following year. As a BME major on a pre-med track, she is a multi-department volunteer at Lowell General Hospital and intern at Conduit Computing, where she is a part of their marketing, fair planning, and lab testing committees. In her free time, Naomi loves gardening, playing music, traveling, and trying new things.

KAREN KHELA
Outreach Director
Karen Khela is a high school junior from the Boston area. She joined ABC because she felt that the mission statement resonated with her own past experiences. She extends her work in the ABC to other areas, such as her school’s Middle Eastern Student Association, where she serves as president and organizes meaningful table talks, where students talk about their own experiences with culture, food, stigma, and more. In her spare time, you can find Karen playing guitar, drawing, or listening to Laufey.

LEEN NAJIA
Program Associate
Leen is a rising senior in high school with a strong passion for STEM, mentorship, and community-focused work. One of her favorite roles has been mentoring younger students as they transition into high school and being a supportive and approachable resource for them. Leen has also been involved in various service-based and environmental initiatives that focus on giving back and promoting sustainability within her school community. Outside of academics, she enjoy doing art and finding creative ways to express ideas that matter to her. Leen is always excited about opportunities that combine science, creativity, and compassion to make a meaningful and fun impact.

Jessica is a highschool senior in Los Angeles, California. She is an advocate for eating disorder awareness in her community, organizing local events at school and fighting for policy change through STRIPED(Strategic Training Initiative for the Prevention of Eating Disorders) on a national level. Her own experience with anorexia has not only informed her advocacy, but it has also inspired her to pursue research to better understand eating disorders. In the meantime, Jessica enjoys crocheting, baking, and hiking.

I’m especially committed to creating inclusive spaces for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ youth in recovery. In my free time, I love painting, crocheting, reading, and hanging out with friends. I’m so excited to be part of the All Bodies Coalition community!

RIAN CHASE
All Bodies Journal, Writer
Rian is a rising senior at Chelmsford High School and has had the pleasure of researching and writing for the All Bodies Journal for almost a year! When she's not writing, you can find her at the beach, with friends, skiing, acting on stage, singing, or prepping a speech and debate piece! Rian loves biology and psychology, so she loves to incorporate those themes into her writing! Her favorite part about being a writer is using her words to heal and empower those who are struggling with eating disorders.
